Companionship
Conversation, presence, and unhurried time. This is the part parents actually look forward to, and the reason the rest of it works.
Kerala · Alappuzha district
Alappuzha is a long, narrow district, and almost every family in it lives within a few kilometres of either the sea or the backwaters. It is also one of the most densely settled parts of Kerala, which makes it easy to assume your parents are surrounded by help. Being surrounded by people is not the same as having someone.
Where in the district your parents live changes what they need. Cherthala and Aroor at the northern end have become part of Kochi's commuter belt, and the people who used to be home during the day are now on the highway. Along the coast through Ambalappuzha, Haripad and Kayamkulam the hospital is not far, but NH 66 traffic makes even a short trip long. Inland at Mavelikkara and Chengannur the nearest specialist is usually a bus ride away. And in Kuttanad, where the land sits below sea level and some homes are still reached more easily by water than by road, an ordinary appointment can take the better part of a day.
We cover the whole district on the same plans, villages included, so your parents' address does not need to be a town you have heard us name. If you are unsure, ask on the free consultation call and we will confirm before anything is paid.
Every plan is built on the same visit. What changes between plans is how often a CareMate comes and how much coordination sits on top.
Conversation, presence, and unhurried time. This is the part parents actually look forward to, and the reason the rest of it works.
How your parents are really doing: sleep, appetite, mood, energy. Written down honestly, not smoothed over.
A gentle reminder at the visit, and a note on how the days in between have gone. CareMates remind, they never administer.
A CareMate goes with your parents, waits, and sends you a plain-English summary of what the doctor said and what happens next.
Medicine pickup and delivery, home collection of blood samples, and the small errands that have quietly become hard.
Every visit written up the same day in the family app, so you are not piecing together how your parents are from a short phone call.
Most specialist care in the district runs through Government T. D. Medical College Hospital at Vandanam, a few kilometres south of Alappuzha town, with the General Hospital in the town itself. Away from the coast there are district hospitals at Mavelikkara and Chengannur, the government hospital in Kayamkulam, and KVM Hospital at the northern end in Cherthala.
We accompany your parents to whichever of these they already use, and to the local clinic down the road if that is where they go. Zeraphos does not steer anyone toward a particular hospital and has no arrangement with any of them. We arrange the transport, a CareMate waits through the appointment, and you get a written summary of what was said.
We plan around it rather than pretend it will not happen. In a bad week a visit gets moved earlier or later, and where a road is genuinely out we tell you that instead of quietly skipping it. To be clear about the limit, though: we are not an emergency service. If your parents are cut off and need help urgently, that call goes to the local emergency services, not to us.
Yes. Cherthala and Aroor are in Alappuzha district and inside our service area, and the price is the same across the whole district. CareMates are matched by where they live rather than by distance from the district headquarters, so nobody in the north of the district is at the end of someone's route.
Honestly: we would have known at the next visit, not the same hour. What changes is that a CareMate is looking, asks how the days in between have gone, and writes it up the same day, including the things your mother would rather not mention. That is visibility you do not have now. It is not the same as someone being in the house, and we do not claim it is.

Parents somewhere else in Kerala? Tell us where on the consultation form. We are opening districts based on where families ask, and yours counts.
Free, no obligation
A short call to understand your parents' situation, what visits would look like, and whether we are the right fit. No payment is taken on the call.
Zeraphos is a companionship and care coordination service. It is not a hospital, a clinic, or an emergency service, and it does not replace one. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
